Role Overview

This isn’t a standard “keep-the-lights-on” role — the organization is seeking a transformative IT Service Manager who can shift the service management function from reactive operations to strategic partnership. You’ll lead service maturity improvements, embed best-practice ITSM processes, and shape a roadmap of continual improvement.

You will oversee a team of Service Management Analysts and Business Systems Analysts, evolving their function, optimizing change governance, and maximizing the value of ServiceNow. Your remit extends across global, multi-vendor and multi-platform (on-premises, cloud, PaaS, SaaS) environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Service Management Analysts and Business Systems Analysts
Own and refine ITSM processes — especially Change, Problem, and Request Management
Define and execute a service maturity roadmap in collaboration with global peers
Fully leverage ServiceNow for automation, reporting, and governance
Drive operational excellence across multi-vendor, multi-platform environments
Interface with senior stakeholders, domestic and international
Cultivate a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and delivery

Required Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Proven leadership in IT Service Management, especially in transforming BAU functions
Experience embedding ITIL / ITSM best practices in complex environments
Strong proficiency with ServiceNow (configuration, reporting, maturity)
Solid track record in people leadership — coaching, inspiring analysts
Comfortable working with global teams, vendors, and senior business stakeholders

Desirable:

Background in regulated industries (insurance, financial services)
Experience in large, enterprise IT environments with mixed technology stacks
